In Early 2006 Mark Willis Had Been Pickin & Kickin Around The Idea Of Forming A Group That Was A Little Different Than What Was Being Offered In The Area. He Had A Vision Of Mixing Reggae-Bluegrass-Country-Rock-Folk & Blues To Form His Own Unique Sound While Playing Mainstream Classics (Sometimes With A Twist).  He Needed A Unique Name That Would Be Fitting For The Group, While Allowing For A Rotating Cast Of Supporting Musicians, (Hence The Name gritsNpieces). He Has Been Playing Two-Three-Four & Five Piece Ever Since (Whatever Is Needed To Accommodate The Venue). Mark's Loyalty To His Fans And His Commitment To Having Fun And Playing Good Music Has Left Very Little Doubt Why GNP Has Being Received With Raved Reviews All Over The South. When You Hear GNP "Live", With A Mixture Of Their Original Songs, Smooth Harmony, And GNP's Ability To Interact With The Crowd, You Will Walk Away Knowing You Have Been Thoroughly Entertained. Attend A Show And You, Too, May Find Yourself Becoming A "GritNeck" (A Fan Of The Grits).
